Antoin Fuqua was born on May 30, 1965, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to African-American parents Carlos and Mary Fuqua. He is currently 58 years old.
Fuqua was born to be a filmmaker, but he didn’t know it until he saw the light, literally. He was dazzled by the dramatic use of light and shadow in the paintings of Caravaggio, the Italian master of the Baroque era. Growing up with her younger brother Brando, she had a privileged education at Harvard-Westlake School in Los Angeles, California. She graduated in 2021 and continued her studies at the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, where she is expected to graduate in 2025.

Zachary Fuqua
Zachary Fuqua is the other child of Antoine, but not of Lela. He was born on August 26, 1991, and is currently 32 years old. He is the result of Antoine’s previous relationship with another woman before he married Lela.
He has a good relationship with his father and his half-siblings, as they often spend time together as a family.
