Preetha is better known as an Indian-American Attorney who came to the limelight after her wedding to the popular Iranian-American comedian and actor Maz Jobran. Her husband is widely known for his very humorous and satirizing works such as The Interpreter, Better Off Ted, (on-air), as well as  Superior Donuts, shown on the CBS sitcom. He is also known for being a member of the popular comedy group Axis of Evil.

1. Where was Preetha Jobrani born?

In 2004 she became the distribution channels counsel and brand ambassador. Progressively, between  2006 -2009 Preetha again rose through the ranks to become the senior director of brand growth and under her leadership, the Waldorf Astoria, Conrad Brand, and Waldorf Astoria Collection reached its peak as she was able to reposition it.

In 2019, Preetha was the Brand Development and Counsel, for another firm known as Azadeh Shladovsky Studio, in Los Angeles. While there, her responsibilities were to represent the founder in coming up with profitable brand and business strategies, as well as maintain a cordial relationship with both the firm’s domestic and international gallery operators.

On top of that, Preetha still works with Oppenheim Architecture as their global engagement Counsel in 2020, where she worked hands-in-gloves with the CEO in addressing strategic operational business initiatives across their domestic and international offices, in addition to handling other legal, Public Relations, and HR issues.

While enjoying their conjugal bliss, the union got blessed with two amazing children namely; Dhara Jobrani and Mila Jobrani. The couple seems happy together, living as one big happy family as they raise their children.

5. Her husband is a famous American actor and comedian

Preetha’s hubby MazJobrani is undoubtedly a very popular American actor and comedian,. He rose to fame in the 90s after dropping out of his graduate degree studies and pursuing his career in comedy and acting.

Maz Jobrani was born in Tehran, Iran on February 26, 1972, with the birth name Maziyar Jobrani. His parents were both Iranian. He was raised alongside his two siblings in Tiburon in the San Francisco Bay area after the family relocated to the U.S by the time he was only 6 years old.

Maz attended Redwood High School in Larkspur before he later got accepted into UC Berkeley, where he majored in political science and Italian and obtained his B.A. degree. Afterward, he got inducted into the Redwood alumni of 2017.

He further enrolled for a Ph.D. course at UCLA  which he later abandoned for his comedy career.

Maz Jobrani came to the limelight for his comedy after joining the Axis of Evil comedy group, which was formed by some American Iranians in 2005, they include  Ahmed Ahmed Aron Kader, Dean Obeidallah, and Maz.

He has since then been featured in several standup comedy shows, movies, and TV shows where he often got invited as a guest because of his talent for satirizing on every topic. His standup specials include: Axis of Evil Comedy Special  (2007), Brown & Friendly (2009), I Come in Peace (2013), I’m Not a Terrorist, But I’ve Played One On TV (2015),  Immigrant (2017).

Some of the TV shows he had featured in were Tonight Show with Jay Leno, The Latenight show with Craig Ferguson. Others include; Comedy Central  Better Off Ted on radio, The Colbert Report, Talkshow with Spike Feresten, Whitney, NPR’s news quiz show Wait Wait, Don’t Tell Me! and American Public Media’s Wits.

To add to this Maz is a regular face in most top comedy clubs, particularly in California and New York such as The Comedy Store among others. His movie credits include The Interpreter, Friday After Next, Dragonfly, and Jimmy Vestvood: Amerikan Hero, 13 going 30  He appeared as a regular character on the 2017 CBS sitcom Superior Donuts, to mention but a few.

Aside from his comedy and acting career, Maz is also an author. He has written his autobiography titled I’m Not a Terrorist, But I’ve Played One On TV in 2015and Memoirs of a Middle Eastern Funny Man

In another scene, Maz had been a board member of the National Iranian American Council (NIAC) and the Persian American Cancer Institute. He is also a co-owner of a Podcast Minivan Men where he hosts it along with Chris Spencer and Al Madrigal.

All the same, with all of these his career progress, to say that Maz Jobrani is such a popular comedian and celebrity is, to say the least.

6. Her husband suffered the loss of some of his family members

Preetha Jobrani’s husband has been hit with some severe losses in the past. He suffered the demise of his father way before his career began. Again Maz also lost his only brother Kashi Jobrani in 2014.

He had barely gotten over the loss of his brother when his only sister Mariam Jobrani passed on due to breast cancer in August 2017. These have been some of the most trying moments and darkest times of his life. Howbeit,  he still got over his losses and moved on with his career. The only surviving family member he has is his mother whom he cherishes so much.
